A dated offer, not a current price guarantee
The offer described in our article on 25 May 2026 concerned Uber's Paris information page: EUR 20 for VTC exam registration and 40 hours of distance learning with Cab Formations. It described conditions involving an Uber account, eligible departments and passing a mock exam.
Present availability and eligibility have not been confirmed for 13 October 2026. We could not complete current primary-source verification. Do not treat this historical amount or those conditions as a bookable offer today. Ask Uber and the training provider for written confirmation before paying.

Training is not the whole route
For France, preparation training and the VTC exam are separate from the professional card and business-launch formalities. A paid course does not itself issue a card or authorize passenger transport. Plan against the current French access rules, not an old promise of equivalence.
A remote course can be useful for theory, but the number of hours alone does not demonstrate practical readiness. Ask how route preparation, customer reception and professional driving are taught and assessed.
Make a remaining-cost budget
Hypothetical worksheet, not an offer: suppose the historical EUR 20 price were confirmed for you. Assume an additional EUR 300 for practical preparation and an EUR 150 exam-vehicle charge, neither included. Those three lines would total 20 + 300 + 150 = EUR 470, before travel, any repeat examination, card, business, insurance or vehicle-startup costs.
Do not add an exam fee twice if registration is genuinely included. Conversely, if the offer no longer includes it, replace the assumption with the current confirmed fee. Keep payment receipts and registration confirmation separate.
Before committing
- Get a dated written description of price, eligibility and included services.
- Check the training provider and relevant CMA session instructions.
- Ask about cancellation, delays and failure before paying.
- Budget the complete launch, not just the advertised preparation price.
