For a French VTC card after the exam, the official Service Public application page directs candidates to the online procedure. Read the document list displayed before registration and select the process appropriate to your residence and situation.
Use the authority's checklist, not a training provider's estimate of delivery time. This guide does not state a guaranteed national deadline: filing, assessment, requests for documents, payment and production are different stages.
Prepare a readable dossier
- Save the CMA success certificate and the identity documents requested.
- Obtain the medical and other eligibility evidence required by your application.
- Check that names, addresses and dates agree across documents.
- Scan every page legibly, using the accepted file formats and sizes.
- Retain the submission receipt, reference number and a copy of everything sent.
This is an organization checklist, not a substitute for the complete official document list. Upload an actual requested document, not an explanation that you intend to obtain it later.
An example of useful follow-up
Illustration: you submit a dossier and later receive a request for a missing page of the medical document. Send the requested page through the indicated channel, retain confirmation and note the date. A follow-up message should identify the dossier reference, the requested item and its submission date. Repeatedly opening new applications can make your own records harder to reconcile.
Check the procedure's status and messages, including spam folders. If payment instructions arrive, verify that they relate to your application before paying. Ask the handling authority about a stalled stage rather than assuming a commercial “two-week” estimate applies everywhere.
Prepare the launch without accepting rides
While waiting, compare business structures, obtain vehicle and professional-insurance quotes and prepare your operating budget. Do not make a first paid booking depend on a date you cannot confirm. A training certificate, a passed exam or a platform account is not a substitute for the required professional authorization.
The card is only one part of starting in France. Complete business registration, compliant vehicle, appropriate insurance and VTC operator registration before operations.
